Unstructured Data

Unstructured Data is information that comes in many formats and doesn’t adhere to traditional data models, making it challenging to store and manage in a standard relational database.

Although unstructured data lacks a predefined data model, it has an inherent structure. A machine or a human can generate unstructured data, and it can be text or non-text data.

Emails, sensor data, and social media data are a few examples of unstructured data.
